Items will be posted within 24 hours of money being received into our account – this is usually immediately for PayPal or credit card payments, sometimes slightly longer for direct deposit transactions. As we live in a regional area of Australia, orders can sometimes take a day longer in getting to you. Please feel free to email us if you are concerned that your order is taking longer than expected to get to you.
FREE POSTAGE FOR PURCHASES OVER $150.00 (within Australia). We do not ship any orders overseas.
Our ‘store’ is located in Townsville Queensland, so if you live here also, please feel free to come and collect your order from us directly. Simply choose ‘Local Pickup’ as your shipping option and we will get in touch with you to organise a time for collection.
We understand how frustrating postage costs can be when buying over the internet so we have tried to simplify the different options as much as possible.
Australia post – This is a flat fee of either $8.50 if you spend less than $70, or $13.50 if you spend greater than $70.
Express Post – Express post provides a trackable service with limited insurance and guarantees quick handling. PLEASE NOTE in most cases Express Post will take at least 2 days to arrive to you, not overnight, as our business is located in regional QLD.
Courier – This is a fixed price option of $10.95, no matter how big or small your order is. It is trackable and insured so if a parcel is lost or stolen we will resend your parcel immediately with identical items or the nearest alternative. Arrives within 1-6 days (depending on your area; 1 day in QLD, possibly up to 6 days to TAS and WA). Most areas of Australia are serviced by this option, however if your area is not we will send your parcel via Express post at no extra charge. PLEASE use a street address if choosing this option, as the courier does not send parcels to PO Boxes.
We understand the potential problems with online shopping therefore we do have certain return policies:
You may return your purchased item for a full refund (excluding postage) if they are returned within 1 week and you have contacted us previously regarding this. Nappies must be in original condition and not show any evidence of being worn or washed.
You may exchange sizes and colours however postage costs are your responsibility and they must be returned within a reasonable time and not show any evidence of being worn or washed. If you are purchasing nappies for an unborn baby and need to return incorrect size/colour or unwanted items please contact us (email@example.com) first.
We try to check each and every nappy that leaves our store for any defects however occasionally these happen. If your nappy incurs a fault within 30 days of purchase please return it to us and we will refund your postage and ship you a new nappy free of charge. Faults include loose, broken or missing snaps or a sewing fault that is not deemed by us to be the result of incorrect use.
Any issues that arise after this time will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis. Please do contact us if you have any problems with anything you have purchased from us.
We know that sometimes you want to buy all those nappies, but can’t afford to pay all at once. Hence, we do offer a layby option here at The Nappy Bucket. You will need to give us a 10% deposit for your order within a week of ordering, if we don’t receive this then we will assume that the order is not wanted anymore and we will cancel it.
Payment is required weekly or fortnightly (though do email us if you are having problems with this). You will need to place your order number or surname and the word ‘Layby’ into the description when you transfer funds into our nominated bank account so we can keep track of your order. There is a 10% cancellation fee if you decide to cancel your order, and no orders will be sent until they are fully paid off. All laybys must be paid off in 4 months.
If you are having trouble paying off your layby, please get in touch with us (firstname.lastname@example.org). We are flexible with time frames for paying off your layby, however if there has been no activity (i.e. no extra payments) after your deposit for some time (i.e. 1 – 2 months) then we will assume that you no longer require your layby. At all times we will contact you before cancelling your order, however if we can’t get in touch with you, then we will have to assume you don’t want the goods anymore.
Simply choose the ‘layby’ option as the payment option when you get to the end of the shopping cart area and our bank details are also there for you to transfer funds into. You can also transfer your layby payments into our PayPal account (email@example.com). Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any queries about these policies.
Here at The Nappy Bucket we sell a wide range of modern cloth nappies, with each brand having different warranty periods. However, there are some ‘rules’ that are common to all of the nappies that we sell, if you follow these then you will get the best out of any of the nappies you choose to purchase. Please contact us if you require further information about a specific brand, or if you are having any problems with goods you have purchased from us.
What will void any brand of warranty
Washing instructions not followed.
Use of temperatures over 60C.
Use of detergents containing enzymes or fabric softener.
Use of Nappisan.
Use of any non-approved nappy rash creams (don’t use creams that contain cortisone or zinc based products as these will cause your nappies to repel and not function properly. If you do need to use such creams, then place a flushable liner between your baby’s bottom and the nappy. We recommend using natural nappy rash creams that have been designed especially for using with cloth nappies e.g. GroVia Magic Stick or Punkin Butt Bottom Balm).
Use of bleach, oxyclean, or any other caustic substances.
Remember – if you have any problems with your nappies after you have purchased them from us, please get it touch and we will discuss what options you have. In all cases, nappies won’t be replaced due to repelling, staining, leaking, wear and tear or sizing issues. Some nappy brands (e.g. PopIns, GroVia) recommend that you don’t (even on a low setting) tumble dry the nappy covers, though for other brands it is OK to tumble dry both the covers and the inserts on a low setting (never hot). Always check, either with us, or on the nappy label, before tumble drying any of your nappies.
